How to Get to Boracay from Kalibo Airport

Kalibo Airport is biggest airport in Aklan.  It caters to all local and international flights. Travel time from Kalibo to Caticlan takes more or less 2 hours.

There are vans just outside the airport terminal that will take you to Caticlan Jetty Port. There are also buses in Kalibo town proper to Caticlan if you want an adventure.

At Caticlan Jetty Port, take a banca (pump boat) to take you to one of the Boracay Ports (Tambisaan or Cagban). The port they use depends on the weather condition.

When it's Habagat (Monsoon) and low season they use Tambisaan port. During summer and peak season, they use the Cagban Port.  When we visited last July 2014, we were dropped off at the Tambisaan Port. Sailing take more or less than 15 minutes.

Please take note that the port in Tambisaan has no bridge or anything so you'll step out from the boat to the sand and there's a possibility that your feet will get wet.

Just outside the port, there are tricycles there that will take you to the White Beach. Fare is Php100.00 per ride. You can ask the driver to drop you off at the main road near your hotel, so it's not very far when you walk. Travel time takes more or less 10 minutes.

If you don't want to walk very far and there's an available pedicab (trike), you can hire one. Fare is Php20.00 per person. You can always follow the tourists or ask for direction when you think you are lost.  Keep in mind that Boracay is a very popular place so you have to expect traffic.
