The Royal Regalia Building

The museum is built to commemorate the 1992 Silver Jubilee of His Majesty's ascension to the throne. I find this museum as one of the beautiful museums in Brunei.

It’s amazing… from the red carpet to the grand design on the ceiling. Not to mention the exhibits that features all the gifts given to the Sultan by other countries’ leaders.
Some of these priceless collections are jewel-encrusted crowns, a royal chariot, gold and silver armory, a replica throne and gifts that His Majesty has received plus a full documentation of the history of the Constitution of Brunei Darussalam.
I wish I can take pictures of those gifts, but unfortunately, it’s prohibited. You can only take pictures of the displays in the lobby.

If you are about to go to the rooms where these gifts are displayed, they will ask you to leave your stuff in the locker provided. No cameras or phones are allowed.
Before you enter the museum, they’ll ask you to leave your shoes or slippers outside. What I find more amazing in Brunei? Their museums have no entrance fees. Proving how rich their country is – building something for people’s enjoyment at no cost.
