4D/3N Taiwan Original Itinerary

Just in case you need a reference itinerary for your trip in Taiwan, here's the original itinerary I prepared prior to our travel. We had to skip some of the attractions due to lack of time, so there's a minimal change in the actual itinerary. Travel time in this itinerary is based on my research and google maps. I will be posting a separate post for the actual itinerary with the actual travel time so you can plan your trip better.

DAY 1: NOVEMBER 26, 2016, SATURDAY (NANTOU DISTRICT)
7:00am: Departure Manila (Ninoy Aquino International Airport)
9:15am – 10:00am:  Arrival Taipei (Taoyuan International Airport) | Arrival Procedure
10:00am – 10:30am: Travel from Airport to Taoyuan HSR Station (25 minutes)
10:34am – 11:15am: Travel from Taoyuan HSR Station to Taichung HSR Station (40 minutes)
11:15am – 1:15pm: Travel from Taichung HSR Station to Cingjing Spring Ground B&B (1 ½ hours)
1:15pm – 1:30pm: Leave the Luggage @Spring Ground B & B 

Check in Time: after 3:00pm
1:30pm – 2:30pm: Afternoon Tea @Old England Manor
2:30pm - 4:30pm: Cingjing Farm (Green Green Grassland)*

Business Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm (Weekends) | 8:00am – 50:30pm (Weekends & Holidays)
4:30pm – 5:30pm: Small Swiss Garden

Business Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm (Daily)
5:30pm – 7:30pm: Bee Pollen | Carton King Shop & Restaurant*

Business Hours: 9:00am – 10:00pm (Friday to Saturday) | 9:00am – 9:00pm (Sunday to Thursday)
7:30:pm – 7:45pm: Travel from Carton King Restaurant to Spring Ground B&B (3 minutes)
7:45pm – 9:00pm: Free Time
9:00pm: Bedtime
Notes:
* Ask the driver to stop for a take out (drive through) on our way to the Spring Ground B & B. Reservation is needed if we want to have lunch at Old England Hotel. They said it’s only a minute walk from Spring Ground to Old England Manor.
* Small Swiss Garden & Carton King are near each other. Recommended duration of visit 30 minutes. 2 hours for Green Green Grassland if we want to watch the sheep and horse shows.
* Have a snack or early dinner at Carton King for a free entry to the Small Swiss Garden. Then wait until closing time for the Fountains Musical Show.
* Starbucks & 7-11 are 15 minutes walk from Spring Ground B&B

DAY 2: NOVEMBER 27, 2016, SUNDAY
5:00am – 6:45am: Wake-up Call | Breakfast | Check-Out 
7:00am – 9:0am: Travel from Spring Ground to TRA Taichung Station (1 ½ hours) | Luggage Storage
9:00am – 10:00pm: Travel from Taichung City to Zhongxingling, Xinshe District (40 minutes)
10:00pm – 12:30pm: Lavender Cottage*

Business Hours: 10:30am – 6:30pm (Monday to Friday) |10:00am – 6:30pm (Saturday and Sunday)
12:30pm – 1:00pm: Travel from Lavender Cottage to Xinshe Castle (20 minutes)
1:00pm – 2:30pm: Xinshe Castle (Summit Resort)*

Business Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm (Monday to Friday) |8:00am – 6:00pm (Saturday & Sunday)
2:30pm – 3:00pm: Travel/Walk from Xinshe Castle to Sea of Flowers (15 minutes)
3:00pm – 5:00pm: Sea of Flowers (Flowers Festival)*

Business Hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm (November to December Only)
5:00pm – 5:45pm: Travel from Xinshe to TRA Taichung Station (40 minutes)
5:45m – 7:00pm: Travel from HSR Taichung Station to Just Sleep Hotel Ximending (1 hour & 18 minutes)

Depends on the train schedule upon our arrival at the station
7:00pm – 8:00pm: Check-in | Rest
8:00pm – 9:30pm: Ximending Night Market | Dinner
10:00pm: Bedtime

* Our tour depends on the schedule of the Tourist Shuttle Bus.
* Travel time is just estimated based on Google and the information given by the driver & the tourist shuttle bus representative.
* We can just have lunch at Lavender Cottage

DAY 3: NOVEMBER 28, 2016, MONDAY
6:00am: Wake-up Call
7:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
8:00am – 8:15am: Travel from Just Sleep Hotel to Chiang Kai-Shek (13 minutes)
8:15am – 10:00am: Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall/Concert Center/Taiwan Democracy Park

Business Hours: 9:00am - 6:00pm
10:00am – 10:15am: Travel from Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall to Taipei 101 (7 minutes)
10:15am – 11:15pm: Taipei 101/Taipei Mall/Taipei Observatories

Business Hours: 10:00am to 9:00pm (Monday to Friday) | 9:00am to 9:00 pm (Saturday to Sunday)
11:15pm – 12:30pm: Lunch @Din Tai Fung Restaurant
12:30pm – 1:00pm: Travel from Taipei 101 to Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall (26 minutes)
1:00pm – 2:00pm: Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall

Business Hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm (Monday to Sunday)
2:00pm – 2:30pm: Travel from Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall to Just Sleep Hotel (11 minutes)
2:00pm – 3:15pm:  Travel from Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall to National Palace Museum (1 hour & 8 minutes)
3:15pm – 5:00pm: National Palace Museum

7:30am – 8:00am: Travel from Just Sleep Hotel to Longshan Temple (20 minutes)
8:00am – 9:00am: Longshan Temple | Bangka Qingshan Temple

Business Hours: 6:00am to 7:00pm (Daily)
9:00am – 10:00am: Travel from Longshan Temple to Taipei Zoo (1 hour)
10:00am – 3:30pm: Taipei Zoo

Business Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm (Daily)
3:30pm – 4:15pm: Travel from Taipei Zoo to Just Sleep Hotel (34 minutes)
4:15pm – 5:00pm: Freshen-up
5:00pm – 6:00pm: Travel from Just Sleep Hotel to Taoyuan Airport (48 minutes)
6:00pm: Airport Check-in
8:30pm: Departure Taipei
Note:
* We might not be able to go to Maokong, depending on what time we finish exploring Taipei Zoo. We can just ride (15 minutes) the Gondola to Maokong and just take half an hour to explore then go back to the hotel to freshen up.

    1. Hi, yes we did except for the National Palace. We we're too tired that day so we just decided to skip the palace and went to Shilin Market instead.
