If you're looking for a budget-friendly place to stay in Bandar Seri Begawan, Jubilee Hotel & Plaza may surprise you. It’s not a 5-star luxury hotel, but it’s got heart, space, and a few thoughtful perks that made our stay more comfortable.

⭐ What I Loved

• Early Check-In & Free Room Upgrade
  We arrived way ahead of check-in time, but they graciously let us in—and even upgraded our Standard Suite to a Family Room with a kitchen, spacious living area, and two bedrooms (though we only used one since there were just three of us).
• Large Room Size
  The room was huge, easily fitting a small family. It was clean and cozy enough, though not luxurious.
• Helpful & Honest Staff
  Shoutout to Muhamar, one of their drivers who also offers private transport at lower rates when he’s off-duty. For just B$20, he brought us from Jubilee Hotel to Empire Hotel, Jame' Asr Mosque, The Mall, and the Night Market—plus pickup and drop-off.
• Central Location
  Located near Kianggeh Market, it’s walking distance to several tourist spots like the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Royal Regalia Museum.

😬 Things That Could Be Improved

• Tiny Shower Room
  The bathroom was oddly small compared to the rest of the space. Also, the tap water had a rusty taste—not ideal for brushing teeth.
• Limited Restaurant Hours
  Their in-house café is not open 24/7. If you're coming back late from a day tour, you’ll likely end up buying instant noodles or biscuits from the adjacent mini-store (like we did).
• Simple Breakfast
  Breakfast is free, but don’t expect variety. It’s decent, but minimal.
