✨ One of the best things about staying at Jubilee Hotel in Brunei is its perfect location — close to many of Bandar Seri Begawan’s must-see sites. On our last full day, we decided to walk to Tamu Selera, a local food court that offers an authentic taste of Bruneian dishes. It was a quiet 10-minute walk that felt oddly luxurious — imagine walking in the city with barely any cars around. Brunei’s streets are so peaceful, we joked that it felt like we owned the road (LOL). 😄
🚶♀️ Walking Directions from Jubilee Hotel to Tamu Selera
1️⃣ Start at Jubilee Hotel
Walk out to the main road, the same direction heading to Tamu
Kianggeh.
⏩ Instead of turning left (towards the market), turn right, facing Lapau & Dewan Majlis (Royal Ceremonial Hall).

2️⃣ Pass by Landmarks

Continue walking and you'll see:
- 🏛️ Pusat Belia Youth Centre & Hostel
- 🏨 Radisson Hotel (visible from afar)
3️⃣ Cross the Street at the
Stoplight 🚦
Once near Radisson, use the pedestrian crossing with stoplights. After
crossing, continue walking straight.
4️⃣ Turn Left at the Brick Wall
Corner
You’ll see a long red brick wall. After this block, turn left. Keep
walking until you spot the shady park filled with colorful parasols
and food stalls — that's Tamu Selera!
📍Tamu Selera is a charming outdoor food court loved by locals. Go in the evening when the parasols are lit up and the stalls are lively!
🗺️ Optional Stops Along the Way:
If you have extra time, consider dropping by these nearby attractions on your way back:
- 👑 Lapau & Dewan Majlis – the Royal Ceremonial Hall
