🌸 Why We Chose Car Service to Cingjing (And What You Can Consider)
If you're planning a trip to Cingjing Farm in Nantou County, there’s no direct bus from Taoyuan International Airport, so you’ll need to make at least one transfer — and which option to take depends on your time, budget, and group size.
For us, time was more important than cost. We had a packed 4-day, 3-night itinerary and couldn't wait around for shuttle schedules. So we arranged a private car service instead — and honestly, it was worth every peso.
Below, I’ll walk you through the three main options to reach Cingjing Farm from Taoyuan, including pros, cons, costs, and booking tips.
🚗 Option 1: Private Car Service (Best for Groups)
We were a group of 4 and wanted to maximize our time, so we contacted a local transport provider in advance. Not only did we get a ride to Cingjing Farm, but we also negotiated a pick-up service the next day.
💰 Our Cost Breakdown:
- Drop-off only: ₱3,596 total / ₱899 per person
- Round-trip (Drop-off + Pick-up): NT$5,000 (~₱7,805) or ₱1,951 per person
Considering the winding roads up the mountains and our tight schedule, this was the most efficient option for us.

🚌 Option 2: Bus (Budget-Friendly)
While it’s the cheapest, this is the most time-consuming option, especially if you just arrived from a long flight.
🛣️ Route:
- Taoyuan
Airport → THSR Taoyuan Station (UBUS #705):
NT$30 (~₱45), 13 mins - THSR
Taoyuan Station → Taichung Station:
NT$432 early bird / NT$540 regular (~₱647/₱809), 40 mins - Taichung
Station → Cingjing Farm via Nantou Bus:
NT$251 (~₱376), 2 hours 10 mins
🎟️ Cingjing Farm Pass (w/ round trip + entrance): NT$600 (~₱899)
🧭 Make sure to buy a ticket bound for the Shouting Station, which is a 2-minute walk from Spring Ground B&B.
🚐 Option 3: Shuttle Service (Great for Mid-Budget)
If your flight matches the shuttle schedules on Klook or KKDay, this is a good mix of convenience and savings.
Most companies offer:
- Pick-up from Taoyuan Airport, THSR Taichung, or train station
- Drop-off right at your Cingjing B&B
Travel time is about 1.5 to 2 hours and they usually don’t travel at night due to mountain road safety.
🧾 Cost Estimate:
Shuttle: ~₱765 per person

💵 Price Comparison

---|---|---|---|

📢 Final Tips:
- Always double-check the current schedule and fare rates — prices may vary depending on season or demand.
- If you choose car service, book and negotiate early to get a better deal.
- The roads to Cingjing are mountainous and winding, so leave before sunset for safety.
