🍢 AA’s Barbeque near Plaza Independencia, Cebu – A Quick Stop for Food & Dirty Ice Cream!

🍴 A Tasty Pit Stop After a Heritage Walk

On our second visit to Cebu, I brought my family to AA’s Barbeque near Plaza Independencia—not just for a good meal, but also because it’s strategically located close to two of Cebu’s most iconic landmarks:

📍 Fort San Pedro
📍 Plaza Independencia

I had eaten at their A.S. Fortuna branch before and loved the experience, so I wanted my family to try it too.

🪑 Bigger Branch, But Fewer Seafood Options

This branch at MJ Cuenco, Legaspi Ext. is definitely more spacious than the one in A.S. Fortuna. It's a popular spot among locals, especially during lunchtime.

🍽️ Menu Note:
While the menu is more limited and didn’t offer much fresh seafood compared to the other branch, we were still able to order a few dishes that satisfied our cravings. The taste was good—simple and homey, just like the food we usually enjoy every day.

🥤 Must-Try: Their fresh fruit juice is still unforgettable—cool, refreshing, and perfect for a hot Cebu day!

🍨 The Highlight? Unlimited Dirty Ice Cream!

Now here’s something unexpected and delightful:
🍦 Unlimited Dirty Ice Cream!
There’s a cart right in the middle of the restaurant where guests can help themselves to unlimited servings of classic Filipino-style “dirty” ice cream.

My family loved this quirky treat. It made the dining experience even more fun, especially for the kids (and the kids-at-heart!).

📍 Location & Tips

📌 Address: MJ Cuenco, Legaspi Extension, Cebu City, Cebu
🕒 Best Time to Visit: Lunch or early afternoon (perfect before or after visiting the nearby heritage sites)
🍽️ Budget: Affordable, ideal for groups and families
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-Friendly: Spacious seating, casual vibe, and free ice cream!

👍 If you're exploring Fort San Pedro or taking a relaxing walk around Plaza Independencia, and your stomach starts rumbling—AA’s Barbeque is a great casual option. While the grilled food is simple and the menu isn’t too fancy, the location, affordability, and that surprise unli-dirty-ice-cream station make it well worth the stop.

📝 Tip: If you’re doing a DIY heritage tour in Cebu, plan your lunch here—it’s convenient, budget-friendly, and satisfying!
