Looking for affordable yet satisfying seafood dining in Panglao? DBR Grill is a beachside gem that’s popular among locals and tourists alike. Located right next to Dumaluan Beach Resort, this casual grill offers fresh seafood, meat options, and vegetables—all cooked the way you want them. While I can’t compare it with other restaurants in Panglao (since we didn’t try the others), the crowd says it all—this place is always packed.

The signature style of cooking at DBR Grill is called SUTUKIL:
🍢 Sugba – Grilled over open flame
🍲 Tula – Simmered in a savory broth (like sinigang or tinola)
🍋 Kilaw – Raw seafood cured with vinegar and spices

We ordered Sinigang na Hipon, grilled fish, and a few side dishes—and while they promised food would be ready in 30 minutes, it took a lot longer. Still, the beachfront setting and sound of the waves made the wait tolerable.

Our bill totaled Php1,001 for 5 people—that’s roughly Php200.20 per person. Considering the beachside ambiance and fresh food, it’s a great deal for budget travelers.

⚠️ Heads up:
The staff weren’t very accommodating, possibly due to the crowd. And personally, I found the food underwhelming—it didn’t have the warmth of home-cooked meals. But hey, everyone’s taste buds are different, so give it a try—you might just enjoy it more than I did.
