This 4-day itinerary packs in 17 must-see attractions, from scenic rides on Ngong Ping 360 to iconic views at Sky Terrace 428, spiritual stops like Chi Lin Nunnery, and vibrant night scenes like the Symphony of Lights. Along the way, I’m sharing my personal travel moments, honest thoughts, and tips to help you plan smarter and experience more—even on a tight schedule.

Hong Kong Day 1 Itinerary: Ngong Ping Village, Tian Tan Buddha, Po Lin Monastery & Ocean Park

1. Ngong Ping 360
๐Ÿš  I wanted to kick off our trip with something memorable, and this scenic 25-minute cable car ride was the perfect choice. The panoramic views of sea and mountains were just breathtaking.
๐Ÿ“ธ Tip: Arrive early to beat the crowds and take photos without photobombers.

2. Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha)
๐Ÿชท Seeing the Big Buddha in person was surreal. Climbing those 268 steps was a workout—but totally worth it for the peaceful vibe at the top.
๐ŸŒŸ Despite the crowds, it felt peaceful and humbling.

3. Po Lin Monastery
๐Ÿฏ After the Buddha, I wandered into the monastery next door and was instantly drawn in by the incense and golden statues.
๐Ÿง˜‍♀️ Take a moment inside the main prayer hall to reflect.

4. Ocean Park Hong Kong
๐ŸŽก I’d been curious about Ocean Park for years! Even though we arrived late due to a minor taxi mishap, I’m glad we didn’t skip it. The aquarium and panda exhibit were definite highlights.
๐ŸŽข Plan a full day if you want to experience everything.

Hong Kong Day 2 Itinerary: Kowloon Walled City Park, Peak Tram, The Peak, Trick Eye Museum & Symphony of Lights

5. Kowloon Walled City Park
๐ŸŒณ This place surprised me. I knew a bit of its dark history, but walking through the now peaceful park gave me goosebumps in the best way.
๐Ÿฏ Perfect for history buffs and anyone needing a break from the crowds.

6. Peak Tram & St. John’s Cathedral
⛪ As we made our way to the Peak Tram, I stumbled upon this peaceful cathedral tucked among high-rises. A quiet break from the buzz.
๐Ÿงญ Look out for it as you walk to the Peak Tram.

7. Sky Terrace 428 (The Peak)
๐ŸŒ‡ Going up to The Peak was a dream come true. The view from the top is something I’ll never forget.
๐ŸŒ† Bring a jacket—it gets chilly!

8. Trick Eye Museum
๐Ÿ–ผ️ I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did! It brought out our silly side, and we ended up taking so many fun photos.
๐Ÿ“ธ Stand on the floor markers to pose correctly.

9. Symphony of Lights
๐ŸŽ‡ I had this show bookmarked for months, but to be honest, the harbor view was more impressive than the show itself. Still, glad we went.
๐Ÿšข Optional: Take a harbor cruise for a better, less crowded view.

10. Nan Lian Garden
๐ŸŒฟ This garden felt like a dream—perfectly trimmed trees, koi ponds, and just the calm I needed after days of walking.
๐ŸŒธ Feels like a peaceful world inside busy Kowloon.

11. Chi Lin Nunnery
๐Ÿง˜‍♂️ The serene atmosphere here was unforgettable. I loved how the wooden halls framed the mountains in the distance.
๐Ÿ™ Be respectful—it’s a functioning spiritual site.

12. Wong Tai Sin Temple
๐Ÿฎ This was one of the more colorful and engaging temples we visited. The fortune telling and architectural symbolism were fascinating!
๐ŸŽ‹ Loved the representation of the five elements in each section.

13. Hong Kong Disneyland
๐Ÿฐ I saved the most magical for last! Running around the park, finding characters, and watching the fireworks made me feel like a kid again.
๐ŸŽ  I ran around like a kid meeting Stitch and Woody—no regrets!
