"A Proud Roadside Beauty That Stirred
Something in Me"
📍 San Fernando, Cebu | 🛐
Patron Saint: San Isidro Labrador | 💫 One of the serene
churches you’ll pass en route to Simala Shrine
✨ The Church That Gave Me a Strange Yet Comforting Feeling
This church is one of those that caught my eye on the road to Simala. I couldn’t quite explain why — maybe it was how it stood proudly, its classic façade glowing under the sun, or maybe it was the odd but familiar feeling I had just looking at it.
So, on the way back, I made sure Kuya Driver would stop — and he did. I’m so grateful for that little pause in the trip.
Even now, as I write this blog, that feeling lingers. It’s a mix of reverence, nostalgia, and calm. I still can’t explain it, but I’ll never forget it.
Unfortunately, the church was closed when I visited, so I wasn’t able to see or take pictures of the inside. I just contented myself with admiring the exterior — and honestly, that was enough. There’s something quietly powerful about this church that stays with you.
🛐 About the Church
