Let’s face it—White Beach is iconic, but it can also get too crowded, especially during peak season. If you're seeking a peaceful, more local, or off-the-grid Boracay experience, you're in luck. The island has a lot more to offer beyond Station 1, 2, and 3.

Once a hidden treasure inside Happy Dreamland Theme Park, the Trick Art Museum in Boracay was one of those places that completed my adventure on the island. Before I'd even heard of the Trick Eye Museums in Hong Kong or Korea, I experienced the magic of 3D illusions right here in the Philippines.

π’ Another Boracay Attraction Gone: The Sky Cycle Experience
Before it closed down permanently, Happy Dreamland Theme Park in Boracay offered one of the most thrilling non-beach activities on the island — the Sky Cycle.
If it wasn’t for the ATV ride that came with our tour package, I would’ve never discovered that Boracay had its own theme park tucked away from the usual white beach attractions.
π️ Pro Tip (Then): If you booked an ATV adventure, Sky Cycle and Trick Art Museum were often included for free!
π Another Piece of Boracay’s Fun Is Gone
While browsing through my old blog posts, I stumbled upon my Happy Dreamland entry — and curiosity led me to check how the park is doing today.
To my dismay, Happy Dreamland Theme Park is permanently closed. And with it, gone are the thrilling rides, creative museums, and quirky Korean touches that made this place unforgettable.

Boracay needs no introduction. When people hear its name, the first things that come to mind are sugary white sand, crystal-clear water, relaxation, and nightlife—and honestly, that image still holds true.
Boracay is a small island in Aklan, Philippines, consistently recognized as one of the world’s top beach destinations. Over the years, it evolved from a quiet backpacker haven into a global tourism icon—until it reached a point where the island needed to pause, reset, and heal.

When walking along Boracay’s iconic White Beach, you’ll come across dozens of flashy, Instagrammable restaurants. But then there’s Globy—small, humble, and usually overlooked.
I walked past it several times, always curious. It looked too simple, the kind of place tourists avoid in favor of safer, more “famous” options. But on our last day, my friends and I gave in—and we’re so glad we did.
