๐ข Another Boracay Attraction Gone: The Sky Cycle Experience
Before it closed down permanently, Happy Dreamland Theme Park in Boracay offered one of the most thrilling non-beach activities on the island — the Sky Cycle.
If it wasn’t for the ATV ride that came with our tour package, I would’ve never discovered that Boracay had its own theme park tucked away from the usual white beach attractions.
๐️ Pro Tip (Then): If you booked an ATV adventure, Sky Cycle and Trick Art Museum were often included for free!
๐ฑ Facing My Fear of Heights… on a Bike!
After our ATV adventure, we were told we could try the Sky Cycle. I was excited at first — until I saw just how high it was. ๐ฌ
๐ The ride was suspended about 15 feet off the ground — essentially, you’re pedaling a custom-made bike on a winding steel railway up in the air!
๐ฒ Each unit was a 2-seater bike, securely mounted on the track. The idea was simple: pedal your way across the elevated path. But since we were a group of three, I had to ride alone — which made it feel more wobbly and terrifying!
๐ฌ My Honest Experience
✅ The Sky Cycle was safe, but seeing the rusting support beams and hearing the creaks as I pedaled didn’t help calm my nerves.
๐ป I kept praying I wouldn’t fall off — and although I knew I was harnessed to the rails, the fear was real. I leaned closer to the empty seat beside me just to feel balanced.
⏱️ The ride took around 5 to 7 minutes, but it felt way longer up there. It was both fun and nerve-wracking at the same time.

๐ฏ Worth It With Friends
The ride would've been more enjoyable if I wasn’t alone on that bike. If you ever get a chance to try a similar ride in another theme park, do it with a friend. It's a great bonding experience, full of laughs and screams!
๐ Pro Tip: Always ask if adventure packages include extra rides — you might get lucky like we did.
๐ชฆ Farewell to a Fun Ride
Sadly, with Happy Dreamland permanently closed, the Sky Cycle and all its rides are now part of Boracay’s history. It’s heartbreaking to lose yet another local attraction that added a different kind of adventure to this paradise island.
๐ท I’m glad I have photos and memories to look back on. These small, offbeat experiences are what made Boracay more than just sand and sea.
✍️ The Sky Cycle may have been short-lived, but for those of us who tried it, the thrill, fear, and laughter will never be forgotten. Here's hoping Boracay brings back more attractions like these — ones that go beyond the beach and into the heart of unforgettable fun.
