If you're planning a trip to Quezon Province, your journey usually begins in Lucena City, the province’s capital and main transportation hub.
Whether you're heading to the peaceful towns of Tayabas, Lucban, or Sariaya, or catching a boat at Dalahican Port, it all starts with the right bus from Manila.
π Getting Started: Where to Catch the Bus from Manila
There are several bus companies that operate daily from Metro Manila to Lucena, including JAC Liner, JAM Liner, and Lucena Lines.
π My Go-To Choice?
I always ride JAC Liner — the buses are modern, clean, and comfy, and
there's free Wi-Fi onboard (huge plus for long trips!). π
π£️ Step-by-Step: How to Get to Quezon from Manila
✅ Step 1: Go to the JAC Liner Terminal
You can ride a taxi, jeepney, or bus to get to any of the following terminals:
π JAC Liner Buendia Terminal
π Donada St. corner
Buendia, Pasay City
π
(632) 404-2073
π
Regular Trips: 2 AM – 10 PM
π
Midnight Trips: 11 PM & 12 AM
π JAC Liner Kamias Terminal (Quezon City)
π 2 Mapagmahal St., Brgy.
Pinyahan, cor. EDSA, QC
π
(632) 928-6140
π
24/7 Operations
π
Visit: www.jacliner.com
πΈ Fare: ~₱209.50 (from Buendia to Lucena)
✅ Step 2: Hop on a Bus Bound for Lucena
Once you're at the terminal, look for buses labeled:
- “Lucena City / Grand Central”
- “Lucena / Dalahican” (if you're heading to Dalahican Port)
π£️ Tip: Tell the conductor your destination ahead of time so they can drop you off at your exact stop!
π Travel Time: 3–4
hours
π§
Note: Travel time may vary depending on road conditions—on my last visit, due
to roadwork, the usual 3 hours stretched to 4.
✅ Step 3: Know Your Drop-Off Point
Here’s what I did:
I was headed to Quezon Premier Hotel, which is conveniently along the
highway, so I just asked the conductor to drop me off there. ✅
π» If you’re going anywhere else (like Lucban, Tayabas, Mauban, or Sariaya), it’s best to drop off at:
π Lucena Grand Central
Terminal
This is the main hub where you’ll find jeepneys, buses, and vans going
to nearby towns.
π Diversion Road is also a key drop-off if you're connecting to places like Lucban or Tayabas — this is where the terminal for those routes is located.
𧳠Travel Tips for a Smoother Ride
π¦ Plan ahead during
peak seasons (Holy Week, holidays, long weekends)
π§♂️ Go directly to the
terminal — buses may already be full if you wait along EDSA
πΆ
Bring power banks and headphones — some buses have Wi-Fi, but it’s not always
reliable
π΄
Bring snacks and water, especially for longer trips
π£ Traveling to Quezon Province from Manila is easy and budget-friendly if you know where to go. Whether you’re visiting for a religious pilgrimage, a beach escape, or to enjoy local food and festivals, Lucena is your gateway to it all.
✨ Pro tip: Sit on the right side of the bus to catch the best countryside views during sunrise!
There's also a Jac liner bus enroute to Lucena from Festival Mall, Alabang. The regular fare is 140PHP, I think.
