✨ That Moment the Pink Church Caught My Eye
Going to Simala Shrine, you’ll see a number of churches along the way — some big, some small, some centuries old. But there was one that really made me sit up in the van.
"Wait… is that church pink?"
Yes, it is. And not in a flashy way — it’s a gentle shade, warm under the sun, somehow softening the concrete.
The moment I saw it, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So on the way back, I politely asked kuya driver if we could stop — even just for a minute. It wasn’t part of the tour package, so I had to be quick. I’m glad I did.
At first, I thought the church was closed. But when I asked a couple of friendly locals, they pointed me to a side door and told me to go inside. And again — I’m glad I listened.
There was no mass at the time, so I was able to say a quiet prayer and take a few pictures of the altar. It’s simple, serene, and surprisingly calming. I even had a few moments to snap around the church exterior and just appreciate the stillness of the space.
🏛️ What Makes This Church Stand Out?

It’s Pink!
It’s not every day you see a Catholic church painted in pastel pink. It stands out in the most charming way. - 🌄
Hilltop Setting
The church sits on a gentle slope in Minglanilla. The view around it, especially at sunrise or sunset, is peaceful and grounding. - 🕊️
Immaculate Heart Devotion
Even if the doors are closed, you’ll feel the sacredness of the place. Devotees often light candles outside or say a quiet prayer on the steps.
