🚀 How to Get to Puerto Galera from Manila (2025 Updated Guide)

Visiting Puerto Galera has always been one of my favorite trips from Manila—it’s close, affordable, and offers a perfect mix of beaches, waterfalls, and mountain views. But if you’re a first-timer, figuring out how to get there can feel a bit overwhelming. Don’t worry, I’ve been through the whole process (tricycles, ferries, and even water taxis!)—so here’s a comprehensive, updated guide to help you plan your trip.

🚌 Step 1: Manila to Batangas Pier

  • Take a Batangas City-bound bus from either:
    • πŸ“ PITX (ParaΓ±aque Integrated Terminal Exchange)
    • πŸ“ Buendia Terminal (Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. & Taft Ave.)
  • Fare: 300 per person
  • Travel time: 2–3 hours
  • Tip: Book in advance via the [PH Bus website] for peace of mind.

⛴️ Step 2: Batangas Pier to Puerto Galera

  • Head to Passenger Terminal Building #3 to buy ferry tickets and pay the 30 terminal fee.
  • Ferry options:
    • Fastcraft: 600 / person, travel time 45 mins 1 hour
    • RoRo Ferry: 500 / person, travel time 11.5 hours

πŸ‘‰ Depending on the ferry, you’ll either land at Balatero Pier, Muelle Pier, or directly at White Beach.

πŸ›Ί Step 3: Pier to White Beach / Resorts

  • From Balatero Pier, take a tricycle to White Beach:
    • Shared ride: 150–200 (3 passengers)

  • Negotiate if needed—locals are friendly!
