✨ Visiting Puerto Galera has always been one of my favorite trips from Manila—it’s close, affordable, and offers a perfect mix of beaches, waterfalls, and mountain views. But if you’re a first-timer, figuring out how to get there can feel a bit overwhelming. Don’t worry, I’ve been through the whole process (tricycles, ferries, and even water taxis!)—so here’s a comprehensive, updated guide to help you plan your trip.
π Step 1: Manila to Batangas Pier
- Take a Batangas City-bound bus from either:
- π PITX (ParaΓ±aque Integrated Terminal Exchange)
- π Buendia Terminal (Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. & Taft Ave.)
- Fare: ₱300 per person
- Travel time: 2–3 hours
- Tip: Book in advance via the [PH Bus website] for peace of mind.
⛴️ Step 2: Batangas Pier to Puerto Galera
- Head to Passenger Terminal Building #3 to buy ferry tickets and pay the ₱30 terminal fee.
- Ferry options:
- Fastcraft: ₱600 / person, travel time 45 mins – 1 hour
- RoRo Ferry: ₱500 / person, travel time 1–1.5 hours
π Depending on the ferry, you’ll either land at Balatero Pier, Muelle Pier, or directly at White Beach.
πΊ Step 3: Pier to White Beach / Resorts
- From Balatero Pier, take a tricycle to White Beach:
- Shared ride: ₱150–₱200 (3 passengers)
- Private ride: ₱300–₱400
- Negotiate if needed—locals are friendly!
