After visiting Sampaguita Gardens Resort, our stomachs were growling. We were already in Kalibo and heard so much about Ramboy’s Restaurant, especially their legendary liempo (pork belly). Naturally, we had to check it out.
🏠 Ramboy’s Kalibo: Cozy, Crowded, and Totally Worth It
We ate at the branch near Kalibo Hotel, which made it extra convenient since we were staying there. Ramboy’s isn’t fancy—just a regular, homey place—but it was clean, packed with locals, and smelled amazing the second we stepped in.
Travel Tip: Ramboy’s is very popular, so expect a bit of a wait during dinner time. But trust me, it’s worth it!
🥘 What We Ordered (And Over-Ordered 😅)
We thought we were starving… and maybe we were… but we definitely went overboard with the food. Still, no regrets!
Our dinner at Ramboy’s (Php 605.00 total for 3 people):
-
🍖 Liempo – Php 290.00
-
🍚 Fried Rice – Php 80.00
-
🍤 Lumpiang Shanghai – Php 140.00
-
🍹 2 Four Seasons Juice – Php 60.00
-
🍍 Pineapple Juice – Php 35.00
The liempo absolutely lived up to the hype—crispy skin, tender meat, perfectly seasoned. But the surprise standout for me? The fried fish lumpia. Light, crunchy, and flavorful—I wish I had more room to eat another plate!
💡 Dining Tips at Ramboy’s
-
✅ Most dishes are good for 2–4 people—order wisely!
-
💰 Very affordable, especially if you’re splitting the bill.
-
🍴 If you can’t finish everything, don’t worry—we gave our leftovers to our tricycle driver and he was so grateful. Nothing went to waste.
🛵 Ramboy’s has branches in Cebu and elsewhere, but there’s something about eating at the local Kalibo spot that feels extra special
❤️ Don’t Leave Kalibo Without Eating Here
If you're planning to spend even just a night in Kalibo after Boracay, make room in your itinerary (and stomach) for Ramboy’s. It might be a simple eatery, but it’s packed with the flavors and warmth that define Filipino dining.
Because let’s face it: some of the best travel memories are made around the table.
