✝️ Kamay ni Hesus Shrine & Via Dolorosa Grotto – A Sacred Climb in Lucban, Quezon

I’ve always heard of the healing masses and towering Christ statue of Kamay ni Hesus, but nothing prepared me for the emotional and physical journey up the Via Dolorosa Grotto. Climbing the hill while reflecting on each Station of the Cross, I found myself not just walking but praying, remembering, and surrendering burdens I didn't know I carried. The breeze, the views of Lucban, and the solemn atmosphere made this spiritual destination more than just a tourist stop—it became a sacred encounter.

Whether you’re coming for healing, reflection, or just curiosity, Kamay ni Hesus has a way of touching every visitor in different ways. πŸ™

πŸ› A Place of Healing and Faith

Founded by the well-known healing priest, Father Joey Faller, Kamay ni Hesus is considered the “Mecca of Healing” in the country. Healing Masses are held regularly at the Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church, located at the foot of the hill.

Just a few minutes’ walk from the entrance brings you to the Gallery of Saints—a covered walkway with life-size statues of saints. Across from it is the Retreat Center, a peaceful facility for reflection and spiritual renewal.

πŸͺœ The Climb to the 50-Foot Christ

To reach the towering statue of the Risen Christ, visitors must climb 278 steps up and 292 steps down—a zigzagging path that takes you through the 14 Stations of the Cross, also known as the Via Dolorosa Grotto.

πŸ—£ “Mamamatay na yata ako.”
That’s what I heard a kid say upon reaching the top—relatable, because I was breathless too! πŸ˜…

Despite the physical challenge, the climb is a form of devotion. Faithful of all ages make their way up, even under the heat of the sun, to reflect, pray, and find healing.

πŸŒ„ What Awaits at the Top

At the summit, a majestic 50-foot statue of the Ascending Christ stands tall. Donated by Mr. Benito Brizuela, a man healed by Father Joey, the statue represents gratitude and divine grace.

From here, enjoy a panoramic view of Lucban town, soak in the serenity, and offer a heartfelt prayer.

πŸ•Š Tip: Take your time at the top. It’s not just about reaching it—but what you do when you get there.
