๐Ÿฌ Kowloon City Plaza: Quick Shopping Stop After Walled City Park | My Honest Hong Kong Experience

If you're planning to visit the Kowloon Walled City Park, chances are you'll end up passing by Kowloon City Plaza—just like we did. It's not exactly a tourist attraction, but it was nearby, and we were curious enough to take a peek inside.

๐Ÿ“ Address: 128 Carpenter Road, Kowloon City, Kowloon, Hong Kong
๐Ÿ”— Website: www.kcp.hk

๐Ÿ›️ Not a Must-Visit, But a Decent Stop

This mall first opened in December 1993, and underwent a massive HK$100 million renovation between 2005 and 2006. It officially reopened on January 26, 2007, with a fresh look and more shops.

The plaza has about 1 million square feet of retail space, with over 70 stores inside. The main tenant is AEON, which takes up the second and third floors. They also have a supermarket, which could be helpful if you're staying nearby or looking for snacks and essentials.

๐Ÿš— Bonus: There’s parking space for up to 400 cars—but if you’re like us and traveling via MTR or bus, you probably won’t need to worry about that!

๐Ÿ›’ My Honest Take

We didn’t go there specifically to shop, but since it was just a short walk from the park, we thought, “Why not?” I checked out a few stores while my friend got busy inside Sasa, comparing perfumes and makeup items. She loves beauty products. Me? Not so much. ๐Ÿ˜…

They had some affordable finds, but to be honest, I still find some items cheaper back home in Manila, especially the perfumes I regularly buy. If you're into Japanese or Korean skincare, though, it's still worth checking out.

While she was browsing, I went out for a bit and took a few photos of the area outside. There’s not much ambiance to hype about—it’s just your typical neighborhood mall. If you’re not a hardcore shopper or if you're pressed for time, you can skip this in favor of bigger shopping hubs like Mong Kok or Nathan Road, where you'll find a wider variety of cheaper items.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Final Thoughts

Kowloon City Plaza isn’t on my “must-visit” list for Hong Kong, but if you're already in the area after visiting Kowloon Walled City Park, then it's an okay stop for a quick breather or a light shopping stroll.

๐Ÿ‘œ Travel Tip: Don’t expect a touristy mall or outlet prices. This is more like a community mall serving locals—quiet, convenient, and functional.
