๐Ÿ• Saramsam Restaurant Laoag: Unique Pinakbet & Dinuguan Pizza + More Filipino Flavors

"Unique Flavors & Homey Vibes in Laoag City"

๐Ÿก A Simple Exterior, A Warm Filipino Welcome Inside

Just a short distance from Laoag Cathedral, Saramsam Restaurant may look unassuming from the outside — but step inside, and you’ll find a cozy, homey ambiance that instantly feels inviting.

One of my favorite design touches? The young bamboo stalks behind the counter, arranged like roots crawling along the wall — simple yet so striking!

๐Ÿ• Pizzas That Surprise Your Palate

Saramsam is famous for its unique, adventurous pizza flavors. Two of their most talked-about creations are:

  • Dinuguan Pizza (pork blood stew topping) — I missed trying this during Holy Week, but it’s on my must-try list.
  • Pinakbet Pizza — yes, pizza topped with mixed vegetables, shrimp paste (bagoong), tomato sauce, and cheese. Sounds wild? It’s actually delicious once you get past the initial surprise.

If you love vegetables and are open to bold flavors, you’ll appreciate this one. But if veggies aren’t your thing, maybe skip this one.

๐Ÿ More Than Just Pizza — Pasta That Wows

Don’t miss their Saramsam Pasta — it was refreshing and light, unlike any pasta I’ve had before. I was expecting a heavy, rich sauce but instead got a fresh, delicious twist that made me crave more.

Also, the Spicy Sardines Linguine blew me away. Sardines in pasta? I was skeptical. But Saramsam nails it with just the right balance — not oily, not overpowering, perfectly seasoned.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Kitchen Inspiration

I’ve tried making my own version of spicy sardines pasta at home, but it usually turns out oily or salty. I’m determined to perfect my recipe after tasting theirs — it’s that good!
