๐Ÿš— How to Travel from Boracay to Kalibo: Complete Guide with Fares & Tips

Shore at Tabon Port

If you’ve already seen my guides on how to get to Boracay from Kalibo, here’s the reverse journey — how to travel from Boracay back to Kalibo smoothly and stress-free.

๐Ÿ–️ Step 1: From White Beach to the Pedicab Terminal

If your hotel is near White Beach, start by walking to the nearest street where pedicabs park. The designated terminal for tricycles that take you to the port is nearby — usually near McDonald's.

  • Fare: 20 per person
  • Travel time: Less than 5 minutes

๐Ÿ›บ Step 2: Tricycle Ride to the Port

At the terminal, ask the driver to take you to the port for boats heading to Caticlan. During monsoon season, boats depart from Tambisaan Port instead of Caticlan Jetty Port.

  • Fare: 100 per tricycle
  • Travel time: Approx. 15 minutes

๐Ÿšค Step 3: Boat & Van Package to Kalibo

At Tambisaan Port, you can purchase a convenient boat + van package that includes your banca ticket and van ride to Kalibo.

  • Cost: 200 per person
  • Boat duration: About 15 minutes to Tabon Port, Caticlan

Tip: Check your ticket carefully to ensure you board the correct banca.

๐Ÿš Step 4: Van Ride from Tabon Port to Kalibo

After disembarking at Tabon Port, proceed to the van terminal. Vans run frequently to Kalibo and other parts of Aklan and Iloilo.

  • Vans only leave when fully seated — expect to wait about 30 minutes
  • Travel time: Approximately 2 hours
  • Route: Up to Kalibo Airport or drop-off points along the way

You can ask the driver to drop you off at your hotel or any location in Kalibo (e.g., Kalibo Hotel if staying overnight).

๐ŸŒฟ What to Expect on the Road

Enjoy the scenic route filled with lush greenery and fresh air. If you’re tired, feel free to take a nap — the 2-hour journey will pass quickly!

๐Ÿ’ก Final Tips

  • Always ask locals if you’re unsure — Filipinos are friendly and happy to help!
  • Have cash ready for small fares and terminal fees
  • Keep your belongings secure, especially at busy terminals
