🏛️ Lucban Municipal Hall & Plaza de la Revolución

"A Quick Stop in the Heart of Lucban, Quezon"

🗺️ A Surprise Find While Exploring Lucban

While wandering through the charming streets of Lucban after visiting the San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Church, I stumbled upon the Lucban Municipal Hall — a simple yet functional structure nestled in the heart of town.

Though not your typical tourist spot, it’s still worth a look — you never know when you’ll need to process a local document or find yourself curious about local governance in Lucban.

🏢 What’s Inside the Municipal Hall?

Lucban Municipal Hall houses several important local government offices:

  • Mayor’s Office
  • Municipal Treasurer’s Office
  • Municipal Administrator
  • Planning Office
  • Engineering Office

It’s a working building, so don’t expect much in terms of tourism, but it’s interesting to pass by and see a slice of real, functioning local life.

🌳 In Front: Plaza de la Revolución (Rizal Park)

Just in front of the hall is Rizal Park, also locally known as Plaza de la Revolución — a peaceful mini-plaza dedicated to the national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

🗿 The Rizal monument here is considered one of the best-designed in the Philippines — beautifully landscaped and centrally placed in the square. It’s a perfect spot to take a rest, reflect, or people-watch in the afternoon.

🍽️ Food Nearby

After walking around the municipal area and the plaza, you'll find two popular Lucban eateries right beside the square:

  • 🍴 Pag-Kain Restaurant – Local dishes in a cozy Lucban-style setting
  • 🍴 Buddy’s Restaurant – Famous for longganisa, pancit habhab, and Filipino comfort food

These are perfect rest stops after your walking tour of the town.
