There’s something about the beach that makes me feel at peace — the kind that heals the soul and calms the mind. And that’s exactly what Laiya in Batangas does for me. It’s my “home away from home,” a place I return to when you need to reset, unwind, or just bask in the simplicity of sun, sand, and sea.
If you're looking for a quick escape from Manila that offers nature, comfort, and good food — here's a glimpse of my Laiya experience.
π How I Got There (and How You Can Too)
I've tried both private and public travel options — both are doable depending on your vibe.
π By Car (My Friend was Driving):
- From SLEX, I take the Sto. Tomas exit.
- Head toward San Juan, Batangas, and follow signs to Laiya.
- It's a scenic 3.5-hour drive with stops at cute cafΓ©s along the way.
π By Commute (Budget Mode):
- Ride a bus to Lipa City (Jam Liner or DLTB).
- Take a jeep to San Juan, then a tricycle or jeep to Laiya Beach.
π Tip: Always travel early to beat traffic and get the best beach sun.
π What to Do in Laiya
Laiya’s shoreline is the kind of place where I just... breathe. No pressure to be fancy. I just bring a mat, order buko juice, and let the waves do their thing.
π️ 1. Chill by the Beach
π₯½ 2. Snorkeling & Boating
π 3. Hike Mt. Daguldol
π’ 4. Pawikan Spotting
