πŸŒ„ Ngong Ping 360: Top Attractions in Lantau Island, Hong Kong

Lantau Island is the largest of Hong Kong’s islands — almost twice the size of Hong Kong Island. Located just 10km west of Central and stretching 25km in length, it’s home to dramatic peaks, lush greenery, and spiritual retreats. One day is not enough to see it all, but a visit to Ngong Ping 360 gives you a taste of its rich natural and cultural offerings.

Located on a high plateau in the western Lantau hills, Ngong Ping is shadowed by the towering Lantau Peak, Hong Kong’s second-highest mountain. Since the installation of the Tian Tan Big Buddha in 1993, it has become one of the most visited spots in Hong Kong.

What I love most about Ngong Ping is that despite its development, the area still retains its natural charm — with trees, misty hills, and peaceful ambiance all around.

The architecture, decorated roofs, and detailed sculptures make this a photographer’s paradise — just be respectful and refrain from taking photos inside the sacred halls (yes, I sneakily took one or two πŸ˜…).
