Getting to Taipei Zoo is actually very easy, especially because Taipei’s MRT system is so organized and tourist-friendly.

We didn’t need a taxi at all — we just followed the train lines, and before we knew it, we were already at the zoo entrance.

The simplest way to reach Taipei Zoo is through the метро.

1. Take the Taipei MRT Brown Line (Wenhu Line)
2. Get off at Taipei Zoo Station
3. Once you exit the station, the zoo entrance is just a short walk away

🐼 This is the last stop of the Brown Line, so it’s hard to miss.

💡 Tip: If you’re coming from busy areas like Ximending or Taipei Main Station, expect at least 30–45 minutes of travel with transfers.

🚠 By Maokong Gondola + Zoo Visit Combo

If you want a more scenic experience, you can combine your zoo trip with the famous Maokong Cable Car.

This is what made the journey extra memorable for me — it felt like an attraction before the attraction.

• Ride the MRT to Taipei Zoo Station
• Walk to the Maokong Gondola Station (right beside the zoo area)
• Enjoy the cable car ride up the mountains
• Then return back down to explore Taipei Zoo
