After a full day of exploring Puerto Princesa—from crocodiles to crafts and convict stories—our last stop was Sta. Monica Ranch, more famously known as Mitra’s Farm. It was the perfect way to end a long day of touring.

🌿 A Ranch with a View

The ride from Iwahig was long, but our tour guide kept us entertained with stories about how Palawan became the cleanest and greenest city in the country. We also passed by gated executive villages, which our guide told us are home to Palawan’s elite.

🏡 Mitra’s Ranch used to be the private estate of former Senator Ramon Mitra, and now it’s open to the public every day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

When we finally reached the ranch, we were welcomed by:

• 🌆 A breathtaking view of Puerto Princesa City
• 🌊 A sweeping look at Honda Bay from afar

While we didn’t try them, here are some of the available attractions at the ranch:

• 🧗‍♀️ Ziplining with a scenic background
• 🐴 Horseback riding through the hills
• ☕ Small stalls selling snacks and souvenirs

But honestly? Just sitting there, watching the sun paint the sky, was enough.

🛺 Route:

1. Ride a multicab with the signboard "Irawan/Iwahig"
2. Tell the driver to drop you off at the jump-off point to Mitra’s Ranch (fare: ₱20 or less)
3. Then ride a tricycle to the ranch
