The beautiful Northern European atmosphere at the Small Swiss Garden has given it the name of “Taiwan’s Little Switzerland” and “Paradise in the Mist.” Surrounded by conveniences like Carton King, 7-Eleven, Mos Burger, and Starbucks, it’s a popular stop for travelers heading to Cingjing Farm or Hehuanshan.
From Cingjing Farm, we hopped on a bus and asked the driver to drop us off at the Small Swiss Garden. Before heading inside, we decided to have dinner first nearby since the restaurants were about to close. By the time we entered the garden, it was already late and dark, so we missed seeing the flowers and scenery in daylight. Still, the LED light displays and fountain shows lit up the night beautifully, making it a magical experience despite the foggy chill.
We strolled through the glowing pathways, took a few photos, and then walked back toward the Plaza before heading back to our B&B.
🏞️ About Small Swiss Garden
Nicknamed “Taiwan’s Little Switzerland” and “Paradise in the Mist”, this garden is famous for its Northern European vibes. During the day, you’ll find colorful flowers, bald cypresses, and red maples, while at night, the atmosphere transforms with glowing LED sunflowers and fountain light shows.
📍 Tip: The second entry is free on the same day—so if you can, visit both daytime (for flowers and misty mountain views) and nighttime (for the light displays).

🌸 Visiting the Small Swiss Garden (小瑞士花園) was short but sweet. Even though we didn’t get to see the full bloom of flowers in daylight, the LED displays and fountain lights at night gave us a different kind of charm—like walking in a fairytale. If you have more time, I’d recommend visiting twice in one day to experience both versions of this “Little Switzerland in Taiwan.”
It’s also a convenient stop thanks to nearby stores like 7-Eleven, Starbucks, and Mos Burger. We even grabbed a quick snack from 7-Eleven (the Shabu-Shabu aroma was tempting, but time was short!).
This little spot is definitely worth adding to your Cingjing itinerary.
