🍯 First Impressions: Rainy Skies and Fresh Air

When we arrived at Bohol Bee Farm, it had just rained—and everything felt fresh, cozy, and serene. The cool air and misty skies gave the farm a nostalgic vibe, especially for someone like me who grew up in the province. It felt like going home.

πŸ₯— Dining at the Oceanfront Restaurant

The real highlight? Their restaurant overlooking the sea.
We planned our visit during lunchtime to enjoy their best dishes, but the weather had other plans. I initially wanted to eat on the verandah, but the rain sent us indoors—thankfully, the view was still beautiful from inside.

What we ordered:

  • πŸ₯— Flower Salad – Pretty, colorful, and surprisingly good once you get past the idea of eating flowers. The dressing makes it addictively delicious.
  • 🍞 Camote Bread with Mango & Pesto Spread – Warm, hearty, and unforgettable.
  • 🍠 Cassava Chips with Dip – Crispy, flavorful, and totally addictive.
  • 🍝 Vegetable Lasagna – Rich yet light—organic comfort food at its best.
  • πŸ– Spare Ribs Kare-Kare – Tender and flavorful, served with greens on the side.

πŸŒ§️ Rain or shine, their dishes bring warmth and joy.

πŸ›️ Organic Shop & Tasting Corner

After our meal, we explored their organic store, which was packed with local treats:

  • 🍯 Wild honey
  • πŸ₯ Mango & pesto jam (must-buy!)
  • 🌱 Natural teas, soaps, and souvenirs

🧑 Tip: They offer free taste tests of jams and spreads—try before you buy!

I didn’t get to take many photos here—I was too busy tasting and picking out goodies to bring home!

🍦 Unique Ice Cream Flavors You Must Try

Right beside the store is Bohol Bee Farm Ice Cream, a crowd favorite.

You’ll find:

  • 🌽 Corn
  • 🍠 Camote
  • 🌼 Malunggay
  • πŸ’₯ Durian (my favorite—it’s bold and creamy!)

🐝 Bee Tour, Art Gallery & Pool

On our return in 2016, we finally joined the Bee Farm Tour. It was light-hearted and educational. Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and funny, walking us through the basics of organic farming, composting, and native product making.

Other finds:

  • πŸ–Ό️ Art gallery – Features local crafts and cultural pieces.
  • 🏊‍♀️ Indoor pool – Hidden gem near the gallery.
  • 🌿 Lounge area beside the restaurant – The perfect place to sit back and relax.

🏑 Staying at Bohol Bee Farm

If you're a nature lover or simply want peace and quiet, consider staying here. Their rustic rooms and cottages blend into the lush surroundings. The farm is perched high above the sea, so the views are incredible—but don’t expect a swimmable beach right at your doorstep.

πŸ–️ For a true beach day, you'll still need to head to Alona Beach for white sand and clear water.

πŸ’¬ Worth the Detour

Though it’s a little out of the way, Bohol Bee Farm is absolutely worth the visit—for the food, the philosophy, the sea views, and the chance to slow down. It’s one of those rare places that feed your body, mind, and soul.

If you’re looking to "bee" refreshed, this is the place for you.

πŸ’š Their Value Statement (From the Bohol Bee Farm Family)

“We ardently support agricultural development that leads to healthier soils and diverse ecosystems—conditions that help promote a better environment. One that we hope would be populated by a happier and healthier people.”

🌱 Their mission isn’t just about serving organic food—it’s about teaching local farmers sustainable practices and sharing those benefits with the community.
