π️ Dumaluan Beach: A Peaceful Escape on Panglao Island
If you're looking for a quieter alternative to Panglao’s bustling Alona Beach, then Dumaluan Beach might just be your perfect match. Located a bit farther from the island’s main party strip, this beach is ideal for families, couples, or anyone who wants to relax in a peaceful setting.
π Location & Beach Vibes
π Dumaluan Beach is located on the southern side of Panglao Island, a few kilometers from Alona Beach. This stretch of white sand is shared by the Bohol Beach Club and Dumaluan Beach Resort, but there are also public access points.
πΊ️ Distance from Alona
Beach: Approx. 6 km (15–20 minutes by tricycle or motorbike)

Not walking distance like Boracay’s Station 1-3 — plan accordingly!

π At Night:
We stayed at Dumaluan and spent time by the beach at night. It was so
peaceful — no music, no crowds, just the sound of the waves and the moonlit
shore. π
πΏ A Bit Rustic, But Charming
One thing to note is that Dumaluan isn’t as “polished” as Alona. During low tide, seaweed tends to collect on the shore. Some may mistake them for trash, but it’s just nature doing its thing.
π¨️ “It didn’t bother us at all. We swam, laughed, and had the beach almost to ourselves.”
This natural, slightly wild vibe makes Dumaluan feel untouched — a far cry from the commercial buzz of Alona.
π️ Where to Stay
π¨ Bohol Beach Club – Upscale

π Dumaluan Beach Resort – Mid-range rooms, beachfront dining, and
relaxed vibes.
π Tip: If you’re booking accommodations online, double-check the location. Many assume Dumaluan is close to Alona, but it’s not.
